PERSEPSI MASYARAKAT TERHADAP PETERNAKAN AYAM LAYER DIDUSUN JAJAR DESA KANIGORO KECAMATAN KANIGORO KABUPATEN BLITAR

Agriculture is an important sector in the Indonesian economy, with layer farming being one of the prominent sub-sectors. This research aims to analyze community perceptions of layer farming in Srengat District. The survey method was used to collect data from a sample of breeders and non-breeders, using a questionnaire as the main instrument. Data analysis was carried out using qualitative and quantitative approaches to gain a holistic understanding of the community's views on layer farming. The research results show that the majority of respondents have a positive understanding of the contribution of layer farming to the local economy and farmer welfare. However, there are also several differences in perception between breeders and non-breeders regarding environmental impacts and public health. It is hoped that the implications of these findings can become the basis for improving agricultural policies and providing outreach to the public to increase awareness of the importance of sustainable and environmentally friendly agricultural practices.
