PENGARUH UMUR AYAM TERHADAP FERTILITAS TELUR AYAM KAMPUNG UNGGUL BALITBANGTAN (KUB)

This study was to know determine the effect of the age of the hen on egg fertility in Ayam Kampung Unggul Balitbangtan (KUB). The study was conducted on egg hatching in Sambong Hamlet, Sawentar Village, Kanigoro District, Blitar Regency. The study was conducted experimentally using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with a one-way pattern consisting of three treatments of the age of the hen, namely P1 (28 weeks), P2 (32 weeks), and P3 (48 weeks), each with 6 replications and 10 eggs per replication. Observations were made 5 days after the eggs were put into the incubator. The research parameters included hatching losses and fertility in KUB chicken eggs. The results showed that the age of KUB chickens had a different but not significant effect (P>0.05) on the fertility of KUB chicken eggs. The highest fertility of KUB chicken eggs was obtained at P2, which was 93.3%, while the lowest fertility of KUB chicken eggs was obtained at P1, which was 88.3% and the fertility of KUB chicken eggs at P3, which was 90%.
