TINJAUAN YURIDIS TENTANG PERUBAHAN NAMA ANAK DALAM AKTA KELAHIRAN DAN KARTU KELUARGA BERDASARKAN UNDANG-UNDANG ADMINITRASI KEPENDUDUKAN (STUDI PUTUSAN NOMOR: 80/Pdt.P/2024/PN Blt)

This research aims to determine changes in children's names on birth certificates and family cards based on Law Number 24 of 2013 concerning Population Administration and how the judge's legal considerations are in determining decision number: 80/Pdt.P/2024/PN. This research uses empirical juridical research, which is research that examines the implementation of normative legal provisions that apply to what is happening in society, supported by primary and secondary data found in the field. The result of this research is that the act of changing a child's name is permitted based on the law that regulates it. In Article 53 of Law Number 24 of 2013 concerning Population Administration, it is explained that name changes are carried out based on the determination of the local district court. In this case, the Blitar District Court granted the application for changing the child's name from DSA to EVR by RW and IS as parents. The granting of the request was based on the judge's considerations in which the applicants had stated the reasons for changing the child's name because the child was often sick as well as the evidence and witnesses at the trial. The judge also determined that the applicants must report a copy of the determination to the Blitar Regency Population and Civil Registration Service so that the change in identity is recorded in the ongoing register.
